Fountain Valley Chamber President Dies of Heart Attack
Charlie Rodriguez, president of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce, died of a heart attack Wednesday. He was 55.
Rodriguez had been ill for some time, family members said. He worked as a consultant and had served as chamber president since November.
Rodriguez, who was a retired Air Force officer, was also active in the Lions Club and was recently awarded that group’s Melvin Jones Award.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to the Rodriguez Trust Fund through the Bank of Orange County, Fountain Valley.
A rosary will be said Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fountain Valley. A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at National Cemetery in Riverside.
