KNOWS HIS STUFF: Academy Award winner Claire Trevor (“Key Largo”), whose Fifth Avenue apartment is featured in this month’s Architectural Digest, says she worried when she moved in three years ago that it was too big for her. But Trevor says her stepson, billionaire Irvine Co. Chairman Donald L. Bren, told her: “It’s better to have more space than not enough.” Trevor, 83, told the magazine: “I guess he ought to know. He owns the Irvine Ranch.”
