Soap About Cuba: A new soap opera premiering Tuesday on the Spanish-language Telemundo network, including local affiliate KVEA Channel 52, is the first show of its kind about life in Fidel Castro’s Cuba. The telenovela “Marielena” will explore the plight of Cuban political exiles. The show, which is taped mostly in Miami’s Little Havana, will air in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and other Latin American countries starting this month.
