Clinton’s Character

I’d like to take issue with your editorial “Smoke Screen?” (March 31). It concludes that Clinton’s flirtation with marijuana a couple of decades ago is irrelevant today, and it is. What is relevant is Clinton’s legalistic and overly cute response to reporters’ questions. This is today’s Bill Clinton talking, not a youthful one, and today’s version is not to be trusted.

As with Watergate, the coverup is more important than the original event.
