Hate Crimes

I am sure that virtually every American is more than happy to, as has always been the case, welcome a reasonable number of people from other countries to come here and stay. Other than American Indians, this is how the rest of us, or our ancestors, got here ourselves.

However, the people of Los Angeles are voting with their feet (as it used to be said of those fleeing communist oppression), and the development of extensive “edge cities” (formerly known as suburbs) has been the result. Those people are not, in the main, racist. But they are sick and tired of seeing our cities destroyed by overpopulation, by pollution and by being invaded by millions of new arrivals that they (read Americans) have nothing in common with.
