Jerry Brown’s Flat Tax Plan

Share

I enjoyed your sense of balance on the March 30 Commentary page where you published columns supporting Jerry Brown from Alexander Cockburn (“Brown’s Moral Anchor Is His Political Edge,” Column Left) and Paul Craig Roberts (“The Best Tax Plan Since Kemp,” Column Right).

Cockburn would appear to be united with Brown in common hate of the Democratic Party and Bill Clinton. Roberts and Brown are united in arrogance toward the United States taxation system.

As long as Brown, Cockburn and Roberts aren’t taken too seriously, I think the rest of us are safe. However, the word irrational is defined in my Webster’s dictionary as 1) not endowed with reason or understanding, 2) lacking usual or normal mental clarity or coherence.
