Some Stylists a Cut Above
I agree with Aurora Mackey’s column in Ventura County Life (“Shear Terror,” March 12), that there are many in the profession who are not proficient hairdressers. However, that is true in all professions. It would be difficult to weed them out.
A consultation before a service is best with new hairdressers. If too much is being cut, “stop” is always a good word, or there’s always the door. A patron does not have to sit like a ninny and let it be done.
Most hairdressers are very caring people. And some are truly artists.
