THE LAST RIDE: Two-time world speedway motorcycle champion Bruce Penhall, above, inducted into the Orange County Hall of Fame last fall, will ride for the last time Sunday in a benefit race at Coventry, England. Penhall, who retired in 1981, lives in Laguna Niguel, and is now an ESPN racing commentator. He’ll race former world champion Ole Olsen of Denmark. . . . Says Penhall: “The whole idea of a match race between retired champions is to ride hard, put on a good show and have some fun.”
