Nation IN BRIEF : ILLINOIS : Mayor’s Son Admits Guilt in Brawl

Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley’s 16-year-old son pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from a brawl at his family’s vacation home in which another youth was seriously injured. Probate Judge Stuart Meek Jr. in Berrien County, Mich., sentenced Patrick Daley to six months’ probation and 50 hours of public service work. The younger Daley was giving a party when an Indiana teen-ager was hit in the head with a baseball bat.
