Haben Industries Under New Management

Haben Industries Inc., a plastics manufacturer in Van Nuys, is under new management following its merger with Embrace Technology Systems Inc., an Angola, N.Y.-based company that is developing ways to recycle plastic into insulation and other products.

The companies merged last week through an exchange of stock, with Embrace’s stockholders maintaining a combined 84% ownership of the newly merged company. Haben also plans to change its name to Embrace Systems Corp. within a few weeks.

D. Mark Meade, chairman and chief executive of Embrace Technology, last week was named to those posts at Haben. He succeeds Elmer Good, who remains Haben’s president.

Donald W. Freeman, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Embrace Technology, was also given those positions at Haben. He replaced Good as chief operating officer. The job of executive vice president at Haben is new.
