It Isn’t the Police We Fear
In the March 25 Times Valley Edition, attorney Stephen Yagman is quoted in “Judge, Jury, Executioner” as saying: “The LAPD and Daryl Gates have ruled this community (i.e. Los Angeles) for 14 years by fear.”
Hogwash.
We who have been victims of crime take issue with Yagman’s view. It’s the gangs and thugs who rule Los Angeles by fear. Crime is one of the leading causes of the deterioration of this once-wonderful city.
One way to determine what Los Angeles residents fear is to check all the bars on the windows and doors of our homes. It isn’t the police.
