A Thousand Oaks-based research group will discuss the future of water in eastern Ventura County and western Los Angeles County at a special meeting on April 30.

Discussions on how to expand, recycle and conserve existing water supplies, improve water facilities and develop new sources will be part of the meeting, titled “Water . . . Liquid Gold,” presented by the Conejo Future Foundation.

Afterward, officials from the foundation, California American Water Co. in Newbury Park, the city utilities department in Thousand Oaks and the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District will participate in a question-and-answer period with the public.
