Idaho Infant Strangled by a Toy Basketball Net

BURLEY, Ida. —
An 18-month-old boy strangled when he became entangled in a toy basketball net, the coroner said. Christian Watkins died Saturday when he lost his balance and his head became entangled in the net, the coroner said.
His mother, Shelley Watkins, had left the child with a baby sitter, who had stepped away briefly when the accident took place, a detective said.
