Warner Bros. decision to fund a “JFK” study guide obviously upset your editorial staff (editorial, “Confusing Fact and Fiction,” April 4), but to their credit the brain trust overcame revulsion to dutifully educate readers on the perils of confusing fact and fiction.

Never mind editorial omissions of distinctions between facts and fiction, nor failure to mention exacting standards applicable to art--or for that matter to law or journalism.

The dopey 13,000 teachers of high school social studies and college history expected to receive Oliver Stone’s “JFK” study guide have been put on notice. We rest easy. Our truth censors have spoken.
