Mark Gulseth, a sophomore at New Mexico, hit grand slams in the first and second innings as the Lobos defeated San Diego State, 13-5, in a Western Athletic Conference game at Albuquerque. Gulseth, a first baseman, hit both grand slams--his first ever--against Rob Calloway (1-4).
Gulseth also had a two-run single during the fifth inning and singled again during the seventh, going four for five and driving in 10 runs.
