Howard P. (Buck) McKeon, candidate for the 25th Congressional District, will speak to the Antelope Valley Assn. of Life Underwriters at 11:30 a.m. today at the Antelope Valley Inn, 44055 N. Sierra Highway, Lancaster. Admission of $9 includes lunch; the event is open to the public.

In addition, McKeon will speak to the Palmdale Republican Women’s Federation at noon today at the Antelope Valley Country Club, 39800 Country Club Drive, Palmdale. Admission of $7.50 includes lunch.

A campaign headquarters open house for Forrest McElroy, candidate for the 36th Assembly District, is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at 1753 E. Palmdale Blvd., Palmdale. The event is free and open to the public.

On Thursday, McElroy will attend a Palmdale Chamber of Commerce mixer at 5:30 p.m. at Parker’s Tuxedo Center in the Sierra Business Park, 41307 12th St. West, Palmdale. Admission is $5.
