LOS ANGELES : Pat Brown Spending 87th Birthday in Hospital
Former California Gov. Edmund G. (Pat) Brown Sr., father of Democratic presidential candidate Edmund G. (Jerry) Brown Jr., will be spending part of his 87th birthday today in the hospital.
“He was just feeling a little under the weather and his doctor wanted to be on the cautious side, so he admitted him to the hospital for tests,” said Cedars-Sinai Medical Center spokesman Ron Wise.
Wise said that Brown was admitted to the hospital Sunday and may be released today. Brown, who was born in San Francisco in 1905, was California’s governor from 1959 to 1966.
