Satisfied Customers: Though Tokos Medical Corp. of Santa Ana continues to catch flak in some medical circles for its in-home uterine monitoring devices for women with difficult pregnancies, it has two--well, now three--satisfied customers.
Mitchell Hart Dasteel was born to James and Lynn Dasteel, who used the company’s monitoring device before his birth. The announcement they sent out to loved ones is one for the books.
Printed as a real estate flyer (dad is a real estate broker), Mitchell is depicted as a “new listing.” Under his picture are the specs for Mitchell, whom the happy parents characterized as “another quality project of James & Lynn Dasteel.” Some examples:
Clearance: 17 3/4”
Construction: 4 lbs. 14 oz of tilt-up/fall down material
Completion: March 6
Power: 4 a.m.--1,000 volts. 4 p.m.--100 volts.
Loading: 1 loading door, 1 unloading door
Sprinklers: Sprinkles regularly
And Tokos, which provides specialized home health care for pregnant women, recently received the Emerging Company Award from the Orange County Chapter of the Assn. for Corporate Growth.
The award is given to companies with annual sales of less than $1 billion and has demonstrated outstanding growth for the previous three years.
