Glendora : General Plan Changes

Share

After a resident argued against allowing a commercial building in a residential area of Glendora Avenue, the City Council on Tuesday reversed a decision made last month that would have modified the city’s General Plan to allow the building.

Planning Director Stan Wong said Tuesday’s failure of a motion to make the zone change in the 600 block of South Glendora Avenue for an office building puts the city in a quandary because the zoning should conform to the city’s General Plan, which directed the change to commercial status.

So the council decided to begin the process of changing the General Plan again to designate the area as exclusively residential. That will require public hearings, which have not been scheduled.
