OXNARD : Circus Workers to Raise the Big Top
The public is invited to watch circus workers raise the Big Top when Circus Vargas makes a three-day stop in Oxnard beginning Friday.
Clowns will offer children free milk and cookies, and circus animals will be on display as the giant red-and-blue tent is erected during an opening day celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The tent-raising party will be repeated when the circus moves to the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura for a two-day stay starting Monday. Spectators are invited to attend from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
