Island Mix-Up

I never cease to be amazed by the errors made by writers of various travel articles in magazines and newspapers. I am referring to an article by Andrew Greeley (“Portrait of the Dartist,” Traveling in Style, March 1), in which he writes about ferries departing for Liverpool, England, and the Welsh island of Holyhead. Holyhead is not an island but a good-size port city on the island of Anglesey.

Editor’s note: Greeley and the letter writer are both in error. Holyhead is a city located on Holy Island, adjacent to Anglesey Island.
