Oprah in Lawsuit: There’s more about Oprah Winfrey: She and her companion Stedman Graham won a defamation lawsuit by default when a supermarket tabloid failed to respond. A federal judge in Chicago entered a judgment Friday against News Extra after Winfrey and Graham accused the Montreal-based tabloid of publishing a false story claiming Graham had an affair with a male cousin. Winfrey and Graham are seeking $300 million in compensatory and punitive damages, figures that remain to be determined.
