Maybe adults need a new vocabulary, something fresh. After all, black and white have not taken us very far in terms of peaceful coexistence. We should really have more faith in a kid’s-eye view. The last time I met a group of children of all different nationalities (at a London train station three weeks ago), I heard their laughter and thought: “How wonderful! We are of one world, and no one knows better than these kids.”
