Like Father, Like Son--and Granddaughter

Maybe the Jutovsky family of Los Angeles ought to play the lottery. The Jutovskys seem to have a knack for beating the odds.

Three members of the family share the same birthday. The odds for that are about 50 million to one, according to a statistician.

Indeed, the April 8 birthday has become somewhat of a family tradition. The tradition started with Bryon Jutovsky some 51 years ago. Then came his son Gregory, 31, and now granddaughter Brandyn, who was born last month in Santa Monica.

“I could never get a better present,” said Gregory Jutovsky. “I can directly relate to what my father received 31 years ago.”

But the coincidences don’t stop there. The three were all born in the morning hours. Brandyn’s maternal grandmother shares her birthday with two of her relatives.
