Entries Sought for Film Festival

The Oct 21-25 Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis is inviting entries in all categories, including documentaries and both live action and animation films made for children. Student and foreign-language films will also be considered.
The event will present as many as five Tiffany-created Crystal Heart Awards, and a total of $100,000 will be distributed among the award winners. A minimum award of $20,000 will be presented to each feature and $5,000 to each short.
According to Jeffrey L. Sparks, the festival’s artistic director, all entries must reflect the Heartland Film Festival’s statement of purpose: “to recognize and honor film makers whose work explores the human journey by artistically expressing hope and respect for the positive values of life.”
