Striking ‘Gold’: Stations in Las Vegas, Reno and Honolulu have picked up Huell Howser’s “California’s Gold,” a monthly series that airs on KCET and the 12 other PBS stations in California. Wells Fargo Bank has renewed its funding for the series--which focuses on California history and culture--through 1993. . . . KCET, meanwhile, has started production on “Storytime,” a 20-part series introducing children to stories and literature.
