The 12th annual Ramona Chamber of Commerce Coors Chute-Out Rodeo begins Friday night and continues through Sunday at Fred Grand Arena, at 5th Street and Aqua Lane in Ramona. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Friday for team penning finals at 6:30 p.m., followed by the rodeo performance at 8 p.m.

The International Chili Society will host a chili cook-off and competition for the titles of Miss Chili Pepper and Mr. Hot Sauce from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Live music will be performed throughout the day. Rodeo gates again open at 5:30 p.m. for team penning finals at 6:30 p.m. and the rodeo at 8 p.m.

Also on Saturday, a country-Western dance to the music of Breakheart Pass will be held from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. The dance is for adults only; admission is free.

On Sunday, the day begins with a cowboy church service at 10 a.m. followed by team penning finals at 12:30 p.m. The rodeo will be at 2 p.m. with award presentations at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults; $5 for children 12 years and younger. A three-day pass is $20 per person. A family pass (for two adults and three children) is available at $25 for Sunday only.

Tickets can be purchased in Ramona at the Branding Iron, Elstons Hay & Grain, The Livery, Bit ‘N Bridle; in Escondido at the Escondido Saddlery and the Cloverdale; in Poway at the Feed Bucket.
