ICN Pharmaceuticals: The Costa Mesa health-care company posted a first-quarter profit of $6.6 million, or 46 cents a share, a gain of 43% from $4.6 million, or 37 cents a share, for last year’s first quarter. Sales more than doubled to $142.3 million from $63.2 million.
