Calgene, the Davis, Calif.-based agriculture biotechnology company, has appointed Daniel O. Wagster II vice president of operations and chief financial officer for its Calgene Fresh subsidiary. Calgene Fresh is gearing up to grow, pack and distribute genetically engineered tomatoes developed by Calgene and awaiting federal regulatory review. Wagster had been chief financial officer for the parent company. Calgene also appointed Michael J. Motroni vice president of finance.
