AIDS Message: In an interview in Sunday’s Parade magazine, Robert Guillaume said that he hopes his son’s death from AIDS will help get the message out that “the tragedy of AIDS can hit any family.” The actor said his son Jacques, who died 1 1/2 years ago from the disease at the age of 32, like many other blacks “was convinced that AIDS was ‘a white boys’ disease. . . . Now the black community is finally getting the right message. Whatever the political ramifications of AIDS, and there are many, this is an important one,” Guillaume said.
