Israeli Soldier Killed in Lebanon Ambush

SIDON, Lebanon — Arab guerrillas ambushed an Israeli convoy in south Lebanon on Wednesday, killing one soldier. Troops returned fire and killed at least three pro-Palestinian fighters, the Israeli military said.
Nine days of clashes in the area north of Israel’s self-proclaimed security zone in south Lebanon have claimed at least 24 lives.
