Sears to Sell Prescription Drugs: Sears, Roebuck & Co. plans to sell about 10,000 drugs manufactured by an Illinois pharmaceutical company through its fall catalogue and a Sears specialty catalogue for health care. The drugs offered will be geared toward maintenance medications for chronic health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease and thyroid conditions, said James Zilka, chief financial officer for Alscrips Pharmaceuticals of Vernon Hills. The plan targets customers who normally fill prescriptions at a retail pharmacy and who aren’t in a managed care insurance plan such as an HMO, Zilka said.
