IBM to Buy Stake in High-End PC Maker: IBM will buy a 10% to 49% stake in a company that makes high-end personal computers and resell the machines under the IBM label, industry executives close to the talks said. The company, Parallan Computer Inc. of Mountain View, Calif., makes computers called servers that are used to link networks of PCs. IBM will announce its arrangement with Parallan on Monday, the executives said, speaking on condition of anonymity. IBM had no comment.
