According to figures recently released by TRW REDI Property Data, average home prices in the Southern California six-county region fell by just over 1% in the month of April, compared to a year earlier, while the number of homes sold was also down by about 8%. The average price of new homes fell 5.2%, while the price of existing homes fell 0.8%. The number of new homes sold fell 5.7%, and the number of existing homes sold fell more than 18%. The data reflects the continuing depressed Southern California housing market, according to TRW.
