Men Posing as Police Rob Brea House
Two men posing as plainclothes police officers bound, blindfolded and robbed a couple at gunpoint in their home Friday night, authorities said. Nobody was injured.
Jack Marlow, 50, and Linda Marlow, 43, told police that the incident began at 8 p.m. when two men in their 30s came to their front door in the 4000 block of Live Oak Lane.
The Marlows said the men demanded entry while displaying a badge, said Police Detective Terry Fincher, who added that it is not clear whether the badge was real or fake.
“The suspects were admitted to the house, and they produced handguns, bound and blindfolded the victims,” Fincher said.
