School Transfer Permits

Parents who want to transfer their children to public schools outside their local school-attendance area or outside the Los Angeles Unified School District altogether next year may submit applications (on forms picked up from their home school) to their requested school or to the school district’s permits office.

Nine types of permits are available, ranging from transfers for child care or parent employment reasons to reassignments for health or racial reasons.
