EARTH PARTY: For those who couldn’t make it to Rio de Janeiro for the Earth Summit, the U.N. environmental conference that begins today, there’s always Saturday’s Earth Summit Garden Party in Santa Ana. . . . It’s in two parts: an all-day series of seminars on renewable energy and global warming at the Casa Santa Fe Banquet Room at the Amtrak Station, then an RSVP-vegetarian dinner that night. . . . “It’s to let people know we have to be active locally on global issues,” says Marion Pack of the sponsoring Alliance for Survival.
