Jacqueline M. Piper, 34, was bound over for trial by Municipal Judge Ann P. Winebrenner. Arraignment was scheduled June 18 in Superior Court.

Piper gave police conflicting stories about how the girl was injured April 27 at her in-home facility on East 9th Street. National City Police Officer Dennis Holt testified that Piper admitted striking the child’s abdomen because she had wet herself.

Holt testified that Piper also “stamped her feet on the floor about eight times and said, ‘I should have been jumping on her like this and saying, “Tiffany, you get on my nerves.” ’
