Pfund May Be the Man to Rally Laker Troops

Philip R. Blustein (Viewpoint, May 30) compares new Laker Coach Randy Pfund to a career drill sergeant promoted to four-star general. As a five-year veteran of World War II who managed to make it from private to major, I can assure Mr. Blustein that any given career drill sergeant knows more about getting the most out of his men than any given four-star general.
