Much of the anger Singleton and others feel in the aftermath of the King verdict is understandable. But making excuses for violence isn’t.
Singleton’s characterization of Denny as a country-and-Western trucker dumb enough to taunt that angry crowd is an example of prejudging at its worst. When we need to let light into our divided house, Singleton is drawing the blinds.
