Frank R. Parker has been appointed vice president, marketing for Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc.’s computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine and X-ray business operations. He will also continue as senior adviser to the president of the Tustin-based company. Parker, who joined the company in 1978 as Eastern regional manager, has served as national sales manager, vice president of sales, marketing, business marketing and corporate marketing. In addition, Philip A. Smith has been appointed vice president, ultrasound business operations. Smith joined the company in 1987 as vice president, X-ray and nuclear medicine operations. Before that, he was X-ray marketing manager at General Electric Medical Systems.
