An Arena Full of Special Events
Anumber of events have been slated for the Del Mar Fair Arena, formally known as the Del Mar Equestrian Stadium, in the northeast corner of the fairgrounds near the Durante Gate. Entrance to these performances and competitions is free with admission to the fair.
JUNE 17-21
A Charity Fair Horse Show, featuring American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Hackney ponies, Andalusians and more competing in 176 events, will be held days and evenings.
JUNE 22-23
The 4-H Club will present a horse show during the day, and team penning competitions will be held at night.
JUNE 24-27
A rodeo will be performed at 2 and 6 p.m. all four days.
JUNE 28-JULY 2
Freestyle tricks on BMX bicycles and in-line roller skates will be performed at 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
An aerobic aerial act performed by Air-Robics will be held at 1, 3 and 7 p.m.
JULY 3
The 4-H Junior Livestock Auction begins at 9 a.m.
JULY 4
A boxing competition will be held at noon and 6 p.m.
JULY 5
Tractor Pull competitions will be held at 1 and 6 p.m. on the final day of the fair.
