SACRAMENTO — Physicians evaluating state Sen. Bill Greene (D-Los Angeles) said Thursday that he was in serious condition, but officials at Mercy General Hospital declined to comment on the nature of the illness that caused Greene to be taken by ambulance Wednesday from the Capitol.
