Floyd, who ranks fourth on the PGA Tour earnings list with $626,324, turns 50 on Sept. 4 and will be eligible for senior competition.
“I look forward to playing the senior tour, and I hope I can be an asset out there,” Floyd said. “Lexington is my first opportunity, since I’ll turn 50 in midweek.”
Floyd has won 21 PGA Tour titles in three decades, including two PGA Championships, one Masters and one U.S. Open. He has earned nearly $4.8 million in his career.
