Bill Clinton
After watching Bill Clinton on the “Today Show” (June 9), it has become blatantly clear why just plain folks are out here writing letters and why it takes a professional reporter to assume the responsibility of reporting the news. Throughout an entire hour not one of the non-pros could muster a single question involving past peccadilloes or any potential headline scandals.
It was galling to have to sit through a whole hour of nothing but issues: tax proposals, how to help the homeless, and how to provide medical treatment without bankruptcy. Yuck! I was so longing to hear about him not inhaling, or how he avoided the draft 20 years ago. They didn’t even try to evoke a heated reaction by asking why polls say we all think he’s a liar, or asking him to explain the “Slick Willie” epithet.
