Frederick’s of Hollywood is banking on a boom in cat suits with this week’s release of the “Batman” sequel.
The company reports that cat suits have already grown in popularity this year, with sales 30% higher than last.
“Batman Returns” stars Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, cavorting in a skintight cat suit.
Frederick’s said Pfeiffer has a history of helping its sales. The plunging necklines in “Dangerous Liaisons,” which starred Pfeiffer, Glenn Close and Uma Thurman, caused a surge in the sale of the chain’s pushup bras.
