Ford’s Japanese Exporting Arrangement Altered: Mazda Motor Corp. and Ford Motor Co. have revised an agreement under which Mazda has sold Fords in Japan. The two are now equal partners in Autorama Inc., the company that distributes Fords in Japan. Before, Mazda owned a larger stake than Ford in the venture. As part of the agreement, Ford will become the official importer of Ford vehicles into Japan, a function that Mazda had performed since 1988.
