Car Hits Jet; Driver Killed

MT. CLEMENS, Mich. — A car slammed into a jet at a military base Wednesday, killing the driver and destroying the $13.7-million aircraft, base officials said. No one was inside the jet, one of eight F-16Cs in the Air Force Thunderbird aerial demonstration team, when it was hit.
