Businessmen and reporters visiting the Olympics won’t need to look far for a fax machine this summer. They’ll be able to send information from their taxi.

AGIL, a firm that provides “out-of-the-ordinary services” for special events, has hired 300 taxis for VIPs during the games.

For $420 a day, a customer will have personal use of a taxi. For an additional $145, a portable fax will be provided in the cab. A portable phone will cost $37 daily. The cost of calls or faxes is extra.

A spokesman said 26 orders for the private taxis have been received, from 20 Japanese and six English customers.
