JALOPY RUN: Anaheim dentist Tom Coad has packed up his 1930 Model A “woodie” station wagon and shipped it to Charleston, S.C., just for the pleasure of driving it back in competition with 80 other vintage cars. . . . The annual Greatrace starts today in Charleston, with 11 local entries. They’ll all end up at the Orange County Performing Arts Center July 4. It’s not a speed race, but they’ll compete for $250,000 in prizes for staying on a preset schedule. . . . Says Coad’s wife, Cynthia: “It’s his first race; it’s all he’s talked about for weeks.”
